what tell us a little about you.
Hola chicos, soy Annika Strauss y soy una actriz alemana. Soy un poco conocida en las escena de terror porque he realizado varios films de terror conocidos en el mundo como " Seed 2 " o " La petite Mort ".La próxima película sera mas internacional y es " German Angst "la grave el año pasado. Pronto se podrá ver ! También soy escritora, estudie retorica y el próximo año sacare un libro ( Kaleidoskop der Scherben ), por desgracia solo saldrá en Alemán. / Hey guys, I´m Annika Strauss and a German actress. I´m a little bit known in the HorrorScene because I did several Horror movies which are also sold worldwide like "SEED 2" or "La petite mort". The next movie which has an international release will be "German Angst" which I shot last year. So watch out! I´m also a writer. I studied rhetoric and wrote a book last year (Kaleidoskop der Scherben) - unfortunately it is just in German language.
- Cual fue tu primera experiencia como actriz ? / What was your first experience as an actress ?
La primera vez que actué fue en la escuela. Cuando tenia diez años hice un papel principal. Apartir de ese momento quise ser actriz. Cuando era niña siempre lo habia pensado y lo hable con mi familia. Mucha gente me dijo que era un negocio sin futuro, que no se ganaba dinero como actriz. Por eso estudie y trate de ir mirando como avanzaba todo. Y en el 2009 recibi el papel de Marcel Walz´s en la película " La Petite Mort "que fue realmente genial para mi. Apartir de ese dia lo supe, es lo que queria hacer ! Ahora grabo con regularidad. A Marcel le gusto mi forma de actuar y como era así que nos hicimos muy buenos amigos, ahora solemos trabajar a menudo. / The first time I acted was in school. I was ten years old and we made a play where I had the leading role. From that moment on I wished to become an actress. As a kid I always thought something out and presented it to my family. But many people told me that there is no future in that business, that too many people want to do that and that you cannot earn money with it. So I studied and tried to act at the same way. In 2009 I got a
role in Marcel Walz´s movie "La petite mort" which was really cool for me. From that day I was sure - that´s where I belong to! Since that time I shoot regularly. Marcel liked my acting and my person so we became close friends and we still work together.
- Eres modelo, actriz ... Que te gusta mas ? / You are model, actress ... You liked best ?
No, no soy modelo. Soy demasiado pequeña :D Actuar siempre es lo primero, no ay mas cosas. / No, I´m not a model, I´m too tiny ;-) Acting comes always first - no matter what the other thing is.
- Creo que te gustan las películas de terror, no ? / I think, You liked the horror movies, no?
Oh si ! Me encantan las películas de terror. Pero como actriz quiero hacer diferentes papeles porque creo que la gente hace mas cosas aparte de victima o de chica mala ... pero siempre es divertido grabar películas de terror y cruzar el limite de vez en cuando. / Oh, yes! I love horror movies. But as an actress I´m really looking for different roles in the moment because I want to show the people that I can be more than just a victim or the bad girl... But it´s always fun to shoot a horror movie and to cross borders from time to time.
- Que nos puedes contar de " Seed 2 " ? / What can you tell us about Seed 2 ?
" Seed 2 " fue impresionante. Fue realmente increíble grabar en Las Vegas. Fue muy divertido el rodaje aunque hacia muchísimo calor. Fue graba en el desierto el 90% de la película, por lo que siempre hacia calor. Pero al final te acostumbras. / "Seed 2" was awesome. It was very cool for me to shoot in Las Vegas. We had so much fun at this shoot although it was very hot! We shot the movie in the desert to 90%, so the heat was always there. But you get used to it after a while.
- Alguna anécdota en la película ? / Any anecdote in this film ?
Tuve un cactus en mi pierna ! No es una broma ! Creo que no puedo recordar mas dolor que esta experiencia ... Es una escena corta pero probablemente la mejor / I had a cactus in my leg! I´m not kidding! I think I cannot remember more pain than this experience... That scene is cut out which is probably the best....
- Creo que también fuiste traductora en el guion, no ? / In this film i think you are the writer translator, no?
Si, fui la traductora del guion y también hice algunas correcciones. Pero tambien habia una persona revisando todo. Yo escribí dos escenas por mi cuenta. / Yes, I translated the script and did also some corrections. But there was also a native speaker who overlooked everything. I wrote two scenes on my own.
- Has trabajado con dos maestros del Gore, Andreas Schnaas y Olaf Ittenbach. Que recuerdas de la experiencia ? / As worked with the master of gore Andreas Schnaas and Olaf Ittenbach. What
remember this xperiance ?
Siento decir esto, pero no he trabajado con Andreas Schnaas. El era el director en una de las películas que hice ( Unrated ) pero no recibí instrucciones de el. Trabaje mas con Timo Rose. Y solo fueron dos días. Pero creo que es un buen chico :)
Conozco a Olaf muy bien. Trabaje con el en tres ocasiones , me gusta su visión y sus efectos especiales. Pero por desgracia la ultima película que hicimos, que para mi tenia gran importancia por el papel y porque era enorme, no llego a ver la luz. Hubo tantos problemas que no llego a realizarse, una lastima. Olaf es muy agradable e inteligente, el es un artista. / I´m sorry to say that, but I have not really worked with Andreas Schnaas. He was one of the directors in one movie I did (Unrated), but I did not get instructions or anything from him. I worked more with Timo Rose. And I was just there for two days. But I think he is a nice guy ;-)
I know Olaf very good. I shot with him three times and I like his visions and his sfx´s. But unfortunately the last movie we shot, which was also the biggest one for me in a very cool leading role, will not be released. There were so many problems that they won´t make it which is very sad. Olaf is very nice and smart - he is an artist.

Martyrs, Hide and Seek, The Skeleton Key,... oh realmente ay muchas ... / oh god, there are so many....
- Cual ha sido la escena mas dura de tu carrera ? / What scene was very hard in your carrer?
Déjame pensar ... En mi tercer día de rodaje, yo tenia el cuero cabelludo de una chica. Fue realmente sangriento y desagradable. Quería estar segura de que no sufriéramos daño y de que saliera a la primera toma porque llevaba una mascara de latex y me golpeaban con un cuchillo falso. No quedo mal, pero me sentí tan mal que me puse a llorar y no pude parar en un tiempo ... Ahora se que si haces el personaje de victima en una película de terror tienes que sufrir un poco, esto es normal y bueno para la interpretación. Tuve rasguños y contusiones un tiempo. / Let me think... on my third day of shooting ever, I had to scalp a girl. This was really bloody and disgusting. I wanted to be sure not to hurt her and everybody told me that nothing can happen, but at one take I get through the Latex-Mask and hit her a little with the fake knife. It was not bad but I felt so bad that I started to cry and couldn´t stop for a while... Now I know: if you´re playing a victim in a horror movie you have to stand a little pain - that´s just normal and good for your acting. I have scratches and bruises all the time.
- La anécdota mas loca que recuerdes en una película ... / The anecdote more crazy remember in any film is ...

En la película " Candy House " tuve que estar en una piscina que no estaba nada caliente. El agua estaba tan fría que sentía como agujas por todo la piel. El director y todo el equipo vino corriendo a abrigarme con abrigos y hicimos bromas con esto. Tuve que hacer esto 5 o 6 veces ! Fue realmente terrible ! En la película semeja que era vera, pero no lo era ! / In the movie "Candy House" I had to go into a pool which was not heated. It was so damn cold that it feels like thousand needles when you put your foot in the water. The director and everybody else where standing with thick coats around and where joking while I had to get in like it where nice and warm. I had to do that about 5 or 6 times! That was really terrible! In the movie it looks like it were summer - but it wasn´t!
Una reina del grito es alguien que se conoce por muchos papeles en películas de terror y que grita mucho. Se tiene que conocer a la chica por su grito. / A Scream Queen is an actress who is known for playing victims in horror movies and who is screaming a lot. You should recognize a Scream Queen by her scream.
