- ¿ Cual fue tu primera experiencia en el mundo del cine ? / What was your first experience in the world of cinema ?

Como público es muy difícil recordar mis primeras experiencias . No tengo ninguna película específica que me hizo pensar que yo definitivamente quería ser director de cine . Lo que sí recuerdo es que en los años 90 (cuando yo era un niño ) me encantó ver las películas prohibidas como el Predator y Predator 2 , Die Hards ( Las Junglas de Cristal ) , Con Air y The Rock ( La Roca ). Con el tiempo empecé a hacer cortometrajes tontos como un cineasta aficionado , con cámara DV en el año 2001 más o menos, cuando yo tenía 15 o 16 años,luego empecé a estudiar cine en 2006 , y terminé la carrera en 2011 . / As an audience member it is very hard to remember my first experiences. I dont have any specific film which made me to think i definately want to be a filmmaker. I do remember though that in the 90´s ( when i was a kid ) i loved to watch the forbidden films like Predator & Predator 2, Die Hards, Con Air & The Rock.

Eventually i started to make silly short films as a pure amateur film maker with DV cassette camera in 2001 or so, when i was 15 or 16. I started to study films in 2006, and finished my degree in 2011.

- Te conozco gracias a tu película Bunny The Killer Thing :) Para aquellas personas que no te conozcas, que nos puedes contar sobre ti. / I know you thanks the movie Bunny The Killer Thing :) For the people that havent read anything on your guys, what tell us a little about you.

Soy un director finlandés y guionista , en 30 minutos es Viernes 13 ( ¿No es genial ? ) . Mi debut fue con Bunny the Killer thing, una locura de terror / comedia / splatter / explotación alrededor de una criatura mitad hombre, mitad conejo, que es después de todo lo que se asemeja a los genitales femeninos . Estoy muy feliz de ver que Bunny ha ido bien en festivales internacionales y también con la distribución en diferentes países . Estoy en el momento de escribir mi siguiente película . / I am finnish director and screenwriter, turning 30 today friday the 13th ( how cool is that? ). My debut feature film is Bunny The Killer Thing, a crazy horror/comedy/splatter/exploitation about half man, half rabbit, which is after anything that resembles female genitals. I am very happy to see that Bunny have made well with the international fest and also with the distribution in different countries. I am at the moment writing my next feature.

- Has trabajado en cortos en muchas ocasiones. ¿ Te gusta trabajar en cortos ? / Has worked in a shorts in a lot ocassions. You liked work in shorts ?

Creo que los cortometrajes realmente dan un montón de nuevas habilidades y la rutina de trabajar en la realización de películas de ficción . También varios proyectos de cine corto me dieron el cambio de encontrarme a mí mismo como un director y escritor . Pero en este punto de mi carrera , después de mi primera película , me quiero centrar en presentar principalmente películas . / I think short films really serious a lot of new skills and routine to work with fiction film making. Also various short film projects gave me the change to find myself as a director and writer. But at this point of my career, after the first feature film of mine, i feel like i want to focus on mainly feature films.

- ¿ Que nos puedes contar sobre tu película, Bunny The Killer ? / What can you tell us about the film Bunny The Killer ?

Se trata de un delirante splatter de terror / comedia como he mencionado antes, a algunas personas les gusta, algunas personas lo odian. Es necesario encontrar un punto medio por uno mismo, es como una taza de té. / it is a hilarious splatter horror/comedy as i mentioned a bit earlier, some people like it, some people hate it. You need to find it out by yourself if that is your cup of tea.

- ¿ Que recuerdas de la grabación de la película ? ¿ Alguna anécdota curiosa ? / What remember the recording movie, any anecdote curious ?

Bueno, toda la nieve que se ve en la película es real, y hacia bastante frío a veces! Por lo que fue un proyecto muy fresco , literalmente ! Bunny se basa en el corto con el mismo título. Y el traje del conejito es el mismo que en el corto , pero el pene estaba en la función de unos pocos centímetros más largo que en el corto ! / well, all the snow you see in the film is real, and it was pretty cold sometimes! so it was very cool project literally ! Bunny is based on the short film with the same title. And the Bunny costume is the very same as in the short film, but the penis was in the feature a few cm longer than in the short film!

- Bunny grabado en Finlandia con temperaturas muy frías. ¿ Fue difícil trabajar en estas condiciones ? / Bunny recording in Finland with cool temperatures. Was dificult record in this conditions ?

Sí fue todo un reto ! algunos equipos se congelaron, los actores se congelaron , el director se congelo . Pero también fue muy divertido . / Yes on time it gave as challenges! some equipment was frozing, actors were frozing, director were frozing. I was also great fun.

- ¿ Que cámaras usaste para grabar la película ? ¿ Creo que fueron Red One , no ? / What cameras did you use to record Bunny ? I think RedOne, no ?

Sí tuvimos Red One , y también había un par con cámaras Black Magic para algunos planos cortos , y la primera escena oculta extra la hicimos con un disparo de una DSLR . / Yes we had Red One, and also there was a few shorts filmed with Black Magic cameras, and the first hidden extra scene was shot with DSLR actually.

- ¿ Cual fue la escena mas dura del film ? / What scene was very hard in the film ?

Creo que la escena más difícil de la película fue la escena final del papá del científico loco . La escena era divertida y los actores lo hacen genial , pero la ubicación era demasiado pequeña, por lo que no era el lugar más práctico para filmar . / i think hardest scene to film was the final scene of Daddy the mad scientist. The scene is fun and actors were great, but the location was too small so it wasnt the most practical place to film.

- ¿ Quien es tu actor/guionista/director/productor ... favorito ? / What is your favorite, actor, writer, director, producer .... ?

Mi actor favorito es Brad Pitt, actualmente, me encanta como actúa y el sabe elegir muy bien sus personajes para realizar su interpretación. Mi guionista favorito es probablemente el hombre detrás de Seven, Andrew Kevin Walker. Y mi director favorito es David Fincher. Yo no puedo elegir al mejor productor. / My favorite actor is Brad Pitt, actually, i like his acting, and i like how he have been chosing good screenplays for his acting jobs. My favorite writer is probably the man behing Se7en, Andrew Kevin Walker. And my favorite director is David Fincher. I can´t choose the best producer.

- ¿ Te gustan las películas de terror ? / You liked the horror movies ?

Sí me gustan , aunque creo que demasiadas veces no son lo suficientemente frescas. Como cineasta mi meta es hacer películas frescas . Con Bunny me encantaba jugar con los clichés del género y las convenciones del género . También quería escribirlo de una manera que espero, que el público puedo entender por dónde va la historia , pero también sorprender de forma positiva con la historia . / yes i like them, though i think too many times they are not enough fresh. As a film maker my goal is to make fresh films. With Bunny i loved to play around with the genre cliches and genre conventions. Also i wanted to write it in a way that hopefully the audience cant figure out where the story is going, but also feel positive surprise of the way the storyline goes.

- ¿ Que genero te gusta mas ? / What genres like more ?

Me encanta la comedia negra. Pero creo que todos los generos tienen cosas interesantes y buenas. Tambien me interesan guiones con un buen ritmo. Me gusta entretener con historias frescas. / I loved black comedy.But anything which keeps me interested is good. So like interesting screenplays, with good rhythm. I like entertaining fresh stories.

- Tus 5 películas favoritas ... / Your 5 favorites movies ...

El Club de la Lucha, Leon, American Beauty, Se7en, Dawn of the Dead ( la original ). / Fight Club, Leon, American Beauty, Se7ven, Dawn of the Dead ( original ).

- La ultima película que has visto ... / The last movie you´ve seen ...

La teoría del todo / The Theory of Everything.

- ¿ Que persona ha causado mayor impacto en tu carrera ? / What person caused more impack in your carrer ?

Creo que hubo maestros de quienes aprendí algunos elementos grandes que me siguen pareciendo como elementos claves  como director de cine . Odio desvanecerse , los utilizo en muy raras ocasiones . Otra cosa que me gusta mucho de mis tiempos de escuela de cine , fue el hecho de que el profesor de guión me hizo comprender lo que tengo que usar mi propia lente para mirar la vida y descubrir historias que me apasionan . Creo que películas como Regreso de los muertos vivientes y U -Turn han hecho un gran impacto en mí como un director de cine, ya que combinan la comedia negra y buenas historias . Fligh Club es también muy inspiradora , sin duda fue un impacto para mí cuando lo vi como un adolescente / adulto joven. / I think there was somme teachers from whom i learned some big elements i still find as a key elements of myself as a film maker. I hate fades, i use them very rarely. Another thing i appreciate a lot from my film school times, was the fact that the screenwriting teacher made me realize how i need to use my own personal lense to look the life and find out the stories i feel passionate. I think that films like Return of the Living Dead and U-Turn have made a big impact on me as a film maker, because they combined so nicely black comedy and good storytelling. Fligh Club is also super inspirational film, which had definately an impact for me when i saw it as a teenager/young adult.

- ¿ Que te inspira para crear películas ? / What inspired to make films ?

Esas películas y las personas que he mencionado son sin duda son una gran inspiración! Pero también , cuando me encontré con la realización de películas , realmente se sentía como esto es lo que quiero hacer resto de mi vida ! / Those films and people i mentioned were definately ones! but also, when i found the film making, it really felt like this is the thing i want to do rest of my live!

- ¿ Un sueño ? / A Dream ?

Poder realizar películas en el nivel mas alto posible. / To do my kind of a films as high level as possible.
